The Five Points Brewing Company are a relatively new microbrewery based towards Hackney Central station in between Rectory Road and Hackney. To me when I think of successful craft beers and micro breweries none stands out more so than the Meantime Brewing Company. Founded back in 2000 by Alastair Hook it has become one of the most recognisable and well respected breweries in the world, let alone the UK. The Kernel Brewery has been one I’ve admired from afar for a long time. It was one of the first UK breweries alongside Meantime and Camden Town that grabbed my attention. It is not just me who holds the brewery in such high esteem as Owner and Brewer, Evin O’Riordain, was awarded British Guild of Beer Writers Brewer of the Year 2011.
