A few weeks ago I visited the Beavertown Brewery for the first time and fell in love with some new beers by the brewery founded by Logan Plant. These beers were completely out of my norm for beers. When it comes to Beavertown I stay safe and stick with Gamma Ray or 8 Ball. But this time I was feeling like experiment and went with a couple of sour beers. A beer type I’m not completely sold on. NEWS: Euroboozer launches UK’s largest range of American craft beers

Because world beer specialist Euroboozer has launched the biggest range of US craft beer and cider in the UK at one time.

The Bristol beer scene is really blossoming at the moment with Bristol Beer Factory, Arbor Ales and Moor Beer Company being three of my favourite in the UK. Wiper and True are a relatively new brewery who started off like many do, home brewing using whatever equipment they had. As much as they pay homage to breweries gone before them they are very keen on experimenting and “playing” with beer types.

Left Hand Brewing Company all started when Dick Doore (really) started homebrewing after he had received a kit as a present from his brother. He said, “it was all downhill from there.” In 1993 alongside college pal Eric Wallace they founded Left Hand Brewing Company and the rest is history. In their history Left Hand Brewing Company has won multiple awards and continued to push the boundaries when it comes to craft beer.

I often see Lagunitas IPA in bars and pubs across London but rarely have the courage to ask for it because I still don’t know how it is pronounced. I picked up a bottle of it from Beer Hawk recently and was excited to try it based on my pal Tim Brown saying it’s one of his favourite IPAs. And he has good taste in everything.
