To me when I think of successful craft beers and micro breweries none stands out more so than the Meantime Brewing Company. Founded back in 2000 by Alastair Hook it has become one of the most recognisable and well respected breweries in the world, let alone the UK. It has won several awards for its beer and has set the standards over the past 13 years for producing some of the best ale in the world.

REVIEW: Doom Bar

I’ve drunk litres of Doom Bar. In fact I often rate a pub highly if they have Doom Bar on draught. I could write a separate post about how sick I am of the options on some pubs and when the only “ale” to drink is John Smith’s or Greene King. However, if I spot the Doom Bar logo I can drink five or six pints with ease.

REVIEW: Brooklyn Lager

Starting this blog has been a long time coming and what better what to begin then with one of the finest lagers and most iconic around, the Brooklyn Lager produced by microbrewery Brooklyn Brewery. The brewery was first founded in 1987 (a year before I was born) by Steve Hindy and Tom Potter. It is easily one of the most famous and has obviously influenced several microbreweries across the world.
